The first step in troubleshooting your DSL is to make sure that your modem cables are plugged in to the appropriate places. Check all the cables connecting the phone jack, modem, computer(s), and perhaps any other network devices. See example below.

Unplug the power cable from your modem and router (if you have a router). Leave them both unplugged for atleast 1 minute. Upon which plug the power modem back in first, and allow 2 minutes to boot completely. Then plug the power back in to your router (if applicable). You may also need to reboot your computer at this point to re-establish your IP address.

Please note, do not press the reset button on the back of the modem.
